About
I am a retired Professor but still very active nationally and internationally in research. My background is in computer science and electronic engineering, and my past research has included programming languages, algorithms, and VLSI design of novel computer architectures. Currently my main interests are in open access but I supervise one PhD candidate in compiling for parallel platforms, and another who has just submitted worked in bioinformatics (finding promoter and binding sites). During my previous career I was Head of the School for 20 years, and later Pro Vice-Chancellor.
